Learn Woodland Management Practices and Timber Marketing at Two Webinars
Purdue Department of Forestry and Natural Resources and Purdue Extension – Whitley County will host woodland management webinars April 28 and May 12, 2020, from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. each evening. Lenny Farlee, Purdue Extension forester, will be the featured speaker each night.

On April 28, participants will learn an introduction to managing for a healthy forest, invasive species management, timber stand improvement (TSI) principles, and access to assistance.

On May 12, the night will be devoted to considerations for selling timber.

Review of characteristics of young forest habitats and their benefits for wildlife and why these communities are important, then a visit to young forest areas on the forest. Presenter: Lenny Farlee, Purdue Hardwood Tree Improvement and Regeneration Center. This event will be limited to a maximum of 30 participants and RSVP is requested.
